We are pleased to announce Blacktoberfest 2022, the third installment of Black Brew Culture's amazing celebration of beer, food, art and entertainment. We invite you to join us for a month-long showcase of in-person craft beer, culinary and educational events throughout the month of October that are set to be the dopest, most impactful Black craft beer festival the country has seen to date!
What's new in '22? We've now added TWO new cities and venues — Hippin Hops Brewery in Atlanta, Georgia and Carter Commons - The Page in St. Louis, Missouri! Hippin' Hops' third location will host Blacktoberfest 2022: Atlanta at its brand new 11,000 sq. ft. facility in Stone Mountain, one of the largest Black-owned breweries in the United States. Carter Commons is a hub for the community in the 24:1 District of St. Louis and includes four small businesses led by Black female entrepreneurs, as well as a nonprofit commercial kitchen. Blacktoberfest 2022: Saint Louis will also host its first annual Twilight Run as a part of the Blacktoberfest activities.
Blacktoberfest the event is our annual beer festival with over 100 Black-owned establishments coming together to showcase their talents in this third year display of craft beer and culinary excellence. Our collection of curated activations mixed with traditional festival-style booths will serve as a new standard for combining entertainment, education and community economics.
Blacktoberfest the beer is the coming together over a common love of brewing and emphasizing the importance of combining our efforts from the grains to the glass. This year, we've collected 10 new up-and-coming breweries to join us to brew Blacktoberfest Marzen-Style Ale, a beer that set a standard in taste and purpose.
Blacktoberfest Beer Fest is an homage to every important, interconnected sector of Black culture. Our goal is to engage the brewing industry to bond opportunity, accessibility and creativity in ways that empower the Black community and make craft beer more inclusive for everyone. It is a powerful vehicle for collaboration and community engagement, with an openness to all people who love craft beer! If you are truly about promoting equity and empowerment, we eagerly invite you to collaborate, support and celebrate with us the month of Blacktober. We can't wait to raise our glasses with you!
Event details, times, breweries and vendors will be constantly updated until our doors open. Check back daily, and sign up for our newsletter to stay informed. Cheers!
