Kind of. We are the original co-founders of Fresh Fest Beer Fest, America's first craft beer festival dedicated to and produced by Black people. Blacktoberfest is less of a rebrand and more of the evolution of our mission at Black Brew Culture: bringing awareness of Black-owned beverage brands through our platform of high quality, inclusive craft beer experiences.
Yes. If you have not already received a refund or voucher for your Fresh Fest 2020 ticket, you may email firstname.lastname@example.org to receive one for either of our U.S. dates in Durham, NC or Los Angeles, CA. We are not affiliated with any other craft beer event(s) unless expressly labeled a Black Brew Culture presentation.
We do not offer refunds to the festival or any of our lead up events unless we cancel an event prior to its date. If there is a cancellation on our behalf, your ticket purchase will be fully refunded. In any other instance, all ticket sales are final and our festivals and events will take place rain or shine.
Blacktoberfest staff and venues will adhere to all state and local guidelines regarding COVID-19 and will continue to update our policy as necessary. By purchasing a ticket to our events, you understand and acknowledge that a risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. In attending our events, you and any guests voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19, and waive, release, and discharge the host venue, Black Brew Culture LLC, and all of their affiliates, employees, contractors, staff, and associates from any and all liability for any illness or injury due to COVID-19 exposure.
Yes. Designated Driver tickets will be available at the door the day of the festival. Designated Driver ticket holders are not permitted to consume alcohol.

Blacktoberfest welcomes Black-owned brewers and vendors to come and celebrate the ingenuity and creativity that we all exemplify in this industry. Exceptions may be made as we gladly welcome breweries with diverse staff and hiring practices and have inclusive and equitable company structures.
There are limited spaces available, so regretfully, we may not be able to invite all brewer or vendor applicants. Applications must be received by July 15, 2021. Please use the links below to apply as a brewer/distiller, vendor or performer.
